O Nanak, the Lord and Master is totally permeating and pervading everywhere. ||4||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
You are the kind One, and I am glad to be Yours.
And You fill everything, everywhere, all the way through.
The same kind One who is close to you also fills the whole world, all the way through.
The shabad closes: "You are the Merciful Master; I am Your humble servant... the Lord is totally permeating everywhere." The relationship (kind Master, glad servant) rests inside the vast truth of the One filling all. For a child: the same kind One who is close to you also fills the whole world.
A Question to Sit With
How can something be both very close to you and everywhere at once?
