I live, I live, and I blossom forth, beholding the True Guru. ||2||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
In plain words
I live, I truly live, and I blossom open just by turning toward what's good.
Keeping the Name close, my heart opens like a flower, and I find every treasure inside.
The puffed-up feeling and the hurt melt away, and a deep calm settles in.
Turning toward what's good makes your heart open up like a flower — you feel truly alive.
The deeper layer
"I live, I live, and I blossom forth" — jeevaa jeevaa — the doubled words of pure aliveness. The heart-lotus blossoms (vigaas), "the disease of egotism is eradicated," and one enters "celestial Samaadhi" — deep peace. This is the raag's blossoming joy at full flower. For a child: turning toward what's good makes your heart open up like a flower, and you feel truly alive.
A Question to Sit With
When have you felt so glad it was like a flower opening inside you?
