Meeting the Gursikh, my faith is rewarded; night and day, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
I look up to the people who've found real wisdom, and gladly learn from them.
'You see right into every heart — please reward my trust.'
Near good, wise friends, my trust is rewarded, and I keep a song of gladness going.
Near good, wise friends, your trust gets rewarded — and gladness grows.
The verse honors those who've found the way: "I adore the feet of those who meditate." And a lovely prayer: "You are the Searcher of hearts; please reward my faith" — trust met with reward. Near the Gursikh (a good, devoted person), "my faith is rewarded." For a child: near good, wise friends, your trust gets rewarded, and gladness grows.
A Question to Sit With
Who is a good friend whose company makes your trust feel rewarded?
