Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Even hearts that felt cut off and separated can meet their Beloved again.
Real wisdom is endlessly kind, and near it old mistakes melt away.
There the puffed-up feeling and doubt dissolve, and a lasting peace is found.
The shabad closes with the tenderest reversal of all — a direct answer to the grief of the Alaahnian: vichhurhiaa mel milaaey—"the separated ones also meet with their Beloved, if they fall at the Feet of the True Guru." No separation is final; those who felt cut off can be reunited. "The True Guru is forever merciful; through the Word, demerits are burnt away," and "everlasting peace is obtained." The colophon (||4||1||) closes. For a child, gently: even hearts that felt separated and alone can be brought back together with what they love — no separation is the end of the story.
How does it feel to know that being apart from someone doesn't have to be forever?
