ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਸੁਧੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਸਭਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੀ ॥

Let all bow in reverence, to that humble being whose heart is pure within.

The Lord, the Supreme Soul, is pervading everywhere; reflect upon the wisdom of the Guru's Teachings. ||9||

In plain words

Honor the person whose heart is truly clean and kind inside.

Such a person has a wise, discerning heart, and is a friend to everyone.

The good is everywhere — reflect on wisdom and you'll see it.

A truly good person is a friend to everyone — with no one left out.
The deeper layer

The Pauree praises the pure-hearted: "bow to that humble being whose heart is pure within... he has a discriminating intellect... that True Guru is a friend to all; everyone is dear to Him." A truly good person befriends everyone — no one left out. For a child: a truly good person is a friend to everyone, with no one left out.

A Question to Sit With

What would it look like to be a friend to everyone, leaving no one out?
