nirmal jot niranjan paa-i-aa gurmukh bharam bha-o bhaagee.
The Gurmukh obtains the Pure Light of the Luminous Lord, and his doubts and fears run away.

O Nanak, the Gurmukhs find lasting peace; night and day, they remain detached, while in the Love of the Lord. ||2||

In plain words

A life joined to what's true becomes precious, like plain metal turned to gold.

It fills with a clear light, and doubts and fears run off.

Then a lasting peace settles in, glad and free.

A life joined to what's true becomes precious — like plain metal turning to gold.
The deeper layer

"That body is golden and immaculate, which is attached to the True Name... the Gurmukh obtains the Pure Light." The transformation image again — an ordinary life turned to gold by joining with the good, filled with clear light, doubts fleeing. For a child: a life joined to what's true becomes precious, like plain metal turning to gold.

A Question to Sit With

What ordinary part of your life could shine like gold if you filled it with good?
