ਸੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨੀ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਨੀ ॥
say gursikh Dhan Dhan hai jinee gur updays suni-aa har kannee.
Blessed, blessed are those Gursikhs, who, with their ears, listen to the Guru's Teachings about the Lord.
ਗੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਤਿਨਿ ਹੰਉਮੈ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਭੰਨੀ ॥
gur satgur naam drirh-aa-i-aa tin haN-umai dubiDhaa bhannee.
The Guru, the True Guru, implants the Naam within them, and their egotism and duality are silenced.
ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੋ ਮਿਤ੍ਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਡਿਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਜੰਨੀ ॥
bin har naavai ko mitar naahee veechaar dithaa har jannee.
There is no friend, other than the Name of the Lord; the Lord's humble servants reflect upon this and see.
ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੁਸਟੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਗਲ ਮੰਨੀ ॥
jinaa gursikhaa ka-o har santusat hai tinee satgur kee gal mannee.
Those Gursikhs, with whom the Lord is pleased, accept the Word of the True Guru.
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨੀ ਚੜੀ ਚਵਗਣਿ ਵੰਨੀ ॥੧੨॥
jo gurmukh naam Dhi-aa-iday tinee charhee chavgan vannee. ||12||
Those Gurmukhs who meditate on the Naam are imbued with the four-fold color of the Lord's Love. ||12||

Lucky are the hearts that listen for the good and let it quiet their self-importance.
There's no truer friend than the good itself.
Soaked in love, a heart takes on a deep, glad, lasting color.
There's no truer friend than goodness — and a heart soaked in love takes on a deep, glad color all the way through.
The Pauree: "there is no friend other than the Name... imbued with the four-fold color of the Lord's Love" — a deep, all-the-way-through dye of gladness that colors the whole self. And the tender truth: the deepest, most reliable friend is goodness itself. For a child: there's no truer friend than goodness — and a heart soaked in love takes on a deep, glad color all the way through.
