You are so proud of your body, my friend, yet it will be gone in an instant.
Nanak says: the person who sings the praises of the One wins the world.
The body passes in an instant; singing the One's praise wins the world.
garab karat hai dayh ko — you are proud of your dayh, your body. binsai chhin mai meet — my friend, it will pass in an instant. Bodies are wonderful, and they are also on loan. They change with time.
jihi paraanee har jas kahi-o — the person who sings the praise of the One. naanak tihi jag jeet — that person has won the world. Think of a trophy. It shines today and gathers dust later. The love you give does not gather dust. This kind of win is about loving well, and nothing can take it away.
