Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
You alone know how great and how vast You are; what can anyone say?
You are hidden, and You are revealed; You enjoy every pleasure.
Seekers, Siddhas, many gurus and disciples wander, searching for You, as You will.
They beg for Your Naam, and You give them this gift; I give myself to the sight of You.
The undying One has set up this play; the one who faces the Guru understands it.
Nanak says: through every age, the One is everywhere; there is no other.
The One is hidden and revealed, the whole play and its player, and there is no other.
Aapay gupta aapay pargat, both hidden and revealed. Khayl rachaa-i-aa, the One set up this play. Even the Siddhas and the gurus are seekers here, asking only for the Naam. Sidh Gosht ends on doojaa avar na ko-ee: there is no other.
If everything is one great play, what part do you most want to play well?
