Greatness Is Only in His Great Hands

By the Hukam of His Command, He Himself regenerates, without a moment's delay. ||6||

In plain words

One class of people does not like the other, when one has been made great.

Greatness is only in His Great Hands. He gives to those with whom He is pleased.

By the Hukam of His Command, He Himself regenerates without a moment's delay.

Greatness is only in His hands — He gives it, and the world's resentment of those who receive it cannot change that.
The deeper layer

This one says that greatness is the One's to give, so there is no need for jealousy.

The verse starts with something we all see. When one person or group is lifted up, others often feel jealous. Varnaa varan na bhaavnee: "one group does not like another" when one has been made great. That is a very human feeling.

But vaday hath vadi-aa-ee-aa: "greatness is only in His great hands." The One gives it, and the One can take it back. It was never ours to keep.

And the One does not wait around. Chasaa na dhil karay-i: He makes things new "without a moment's delay." Think of a classmate who wins a prize. The One has already moved on to the next good thing, but a jealous heart can stay stuck for days. The One keeps moving and making. We can keep moving too.

A Question to Sit With

Have you ever resented someone for receiving something you felt you deserved? What was that feeling like? And what let you move past it?
