In plain words

You are manifest and present in the expanse of Your Workshop — all of creation.

Everyone longs for Your Name.

But without the Guru, no one finds You. All are enticed and trapped by Maya.

You are manifest in all of creation, and everyone longs for Your Name — but without the Guru, all remain caught in Maya's net.
The deeper layer

Aap andar baahir-i bhed-ee, srist-ee khel rachaa-ay — You are pervading within and without (andar baahir — inside and outside), pervading the universe; You have created this play (srist-ee khel rachaa-ay — created the play of creation). The double presence: inside (in every heart, every consciousness) and outside (in all of manifest creation). There is no inside or outside that the Lord does not permeate.

Sabh ko naam lor-ay, bin gur ko-ay na paa-ay — everyone (sabh ko) longs for (lor-ay — yearns for, seeks) the Name; but without the Guru (bin gur), no one finds it (ko-ay na paa-ay — no one obtains it). The universal yearning with the specific bottleneck: the yearning for the Name is shared by all. The Guru is the one who can actually deliver it.

Sabh maya jaalai jaaliaa — all are trapped and burned by Maya's net (jaalai — the net, the trap; jaaliaa — burned). Maya's trap is not that it is obviously bad — it is that it appears to satisfy the longing while not actually satisfying it. The pleasure that promises fulfillment and departs. The reputation that seems to anchor identity and shifts with the wind. Everyone caught, everyone still longing.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you longed for that seemed like it would satisfy — and once you had it, you found you were still looking for the same thing elsewhere?
