Those who attain the Inexhaustible Name of the Infinite Lord remain happy throughout the four ages. ||3||

In plain words

Those who truly serve the True Teacher in this world are very rare. Not because it is inaccessible — but because most people are not willing to subdue the ego and the possessiveness.

I am a sacrifice to those who are in love with the Name — the ones who found the Inexhaustible Name and stay happy through it.

This happiness is not dependent on circumstances. It is the settled joy of someone who has found what they were actually looking for.

True devotion is rare — not because it is inaccessible, but because it requires something the ego is reluctant to give.
The deeper layer

Virlaa (rare) — the word appears in Guru Nanak's shabads too. It is not discouraging but honest: genuine Gurmukhs are unusual. This rarity is not about exclusivity but about the difficulty of genuine self-surrender.

"I am a sacrifice to those who are in love with the Naam" — this is Guru Amar Das at his most devotional. Not instructing, but bowing. His own love shows through the instruction.

A Question to Sit With

What do you think is the rarest quality in people you respect? What makes it rare?
