In plain words

Gathering the wealth of Maya, you earn an evil reputation.

Those whom you work so hard to please will pass away along with you. They cannot save you.

The egotistical are engrossed in egotism, ensnared by the intellect of the mind.

The people you work hardest to impress will also die — they cannot save you from what you're actually trying to escape.
The deeper layer

Buri-aa-aaee (evil reputation) from gathering Maya's wealth — not the outer reputation, but the inner quality that accumulation without the Name produces. The person you work to impress (jineh tushtaavanaa) will also die. None of them can save you.

The budh moh phaahe — "ensnared by the intellect of the mind" — the very intelligence that is supposed to guide you becomes the snare. Clever minds devise ever-more-elaborate ways to achieve ever-less-important goals. The intelligence deployed in service of ego accelerates the trap.

A Question to Sit With

Who are you most trying to impress in your life right now? If that person could not see what you were doing, would you still do it the same way?
