The One appears to be my Companion. The One is my Brother and Friend.
The elements and all components are made by the One; they are held in their order by the One.
When the mind accepts and is satisfied with the One, the consciousness becomes steady. Then the True Name is one's food, clothing, and support.
Guru Arjan ends by saying the One is his friend and family, and the Name is all he needs.
Iko disai sajno iko bhaa-ee meet means the One is my companion, my brother, and my friend. Three different kinds of closeness, all found in the One. No one person can be everything to us. But every good relationship is a little piece of the One.
Ikas si-o man maani-aa taa ho-aa nihchal cheet means when the mind is happy with the One, it becomes steady. This finishes the teaching from the start of the shabad: forget everything else, but remember the One.
Sach khaanaa sach painnaa tayk naanak sach keet means the True Name becomes my food, my clothes, and my support. Food, clothes, and something to lean on are what people need to live. So much of human work goes into getting them. The person fed by the Name has found what all that work is really reaching for.
Think of a home with a full fridge and a warm blanket. You feel safe. The Name gives that safe feeling from the inside.
What would 'satisfied with the One' actually feel like in your daily life? Not as an abstract aspiration, but as a felt experience in the morning, during work, at the end of the day?
