O my mind — give up all these efforts.
Dwell upon the Perfect Guru each day, and attach yourself to the One Lord.
All the other efforts — the strategies, the projects, the worries — give them up. This one attachment replaces all of them.
The rahao names upaaoe (efforts, strategies, tricks) as what needs to be given up. The word implies a kind of anxious cleverness: the efforts humans make to resolve their situation through their own means.
The alternative is not passivity but eka meh chit laao — attach your consciousness to the One. This is active, but it is the one activity that replaces the anxious multiplicity of all the other efforts.
How much of your mental energy is spent on efforts, strategies, and worries that ultimately don't resolve the fundamental things? What would it feel like to put that energy toward the One instead?
