In plain words

O my mind — meditate on the Name of the One Lord.

All happiness shall well up. In the Court of the Lord, you shall be dressed in robes of honor.

Meditating on the One produces all happiness and honor in the divine Court — one practice, all results.
The deeper layer

This one says: remember the One Name, and you will be full of joy and honored.

This is the Rahao, the "pause" line. It is the center of the shabad.

Man mayray ayko naam Dhi-aa-ay — O my mind, remember the Name of the One. Two things follow. Sarab sukhaa sukh oopjahi — the joy of all joys wells up inside. And dargeh paiDhaa jaa-ay — you are dressed in honor in the Lord's Court. One is felt within. The other is honor given from outside.

In the royal courts of that time, a ruler gave a robe of honor to someone who had served well. Guru Arjan uses that picture. The Lord honors those who come to His Court carrying the Name. Sikhs still give a siropa, a cloth of honor, in the gurdwara today.

Think of a school prize day. The joy is inside you. The certificate shows everyone else.

A Question to Sit With

What does genuine honor feel like — being truly recognized for who you actually are, not who you perform to be? When have you experienced that?
