In plain words

His humble devotees are protected and saved. He Himself showers His Blessings upon us.

In this world and in the world hereafter, radiant are the faces of those who cherish the Glories of the True Lord.

Nanak is forever a sacrifice to the Supreme Lord God, the Ocean of Peace.

Radiant in both this world and the next — the one who carries the Glories within is recognized in every realm.
The deeper layer

The closing pauri frames the protection of the sewak (devoted servant): protected (rakhai), saved (raakhai), showered with blessings. The protection is both in this world and the next.

The radiant face (mukh ujlai) in ih lok and parlokai — both here and hereafter. Not only in spiritual practice, not only in the divine's presence. In both realms, the face of one who cherishes the divine's Glories is radiant.

Sagar shanti — Ocean of Peace. Guru Arjan's closing name for the divine: not a drop or a lake but an ocean. The scale of peace on offer is oceanic.

A Question to Sit With

What would it mean to be at peace in both this world and whatever comes after — genuinely peaceful across the whole span? What would produce that?
