You have so many ways of creating, Lord. Your gifts are so great.
So many of Your beings and creatures praise You day and night.
You have so many forms and colors, so many kinds, high and low.
This verse is full of wonder at how many different things the One has made.
Kaytee-aa tayree-aa kudratee — You have so many creative powers. Kayvad tayree daat — Your gifts are so great. Kaytay tayray jee-a jant sifat karahi din raat — so many creatures praise You, day and night.
Think of a coral reef. Fish of every color, sea stars, turtles, tiny shrimp. Each one is different. But together they make one living, singing place. Nature's great variety is not a mess. It is richness.
Kaytay tayray roop rang kaytay jaat ajaat — so many forms and colors, so many kinds of people, the ones called high and the ones called low. They all come from the same One. Every one of them is part of the song of praise.
This fits with Japji Sahib, Pauri 5: one Light, shining in endless ways. The lesson is to keep the One big. Don't shrink the Creator down to only what you can understand or only people like you.
What's the most beautiful or surprising form of life you've ever seen — an animal, a plant, a landscape? What did it make you feel?
