In plain words

God is the Mother and Father of His humble devotees. He is the Support of His humble servant.

He preserves His servant in every way. The servant is under the protection of the divine's arms.

O Nanak — God has been Merciful. He has blessed the servant with the Vision of the Lord.

God is Father and Mother to the humble servant — and grants the Vision to those who come in complete humility.
The deeper layer

The closing pauri completes the shabad's tender arc: from "I am a foolish child" (Pauri 0) through "I do not know Your Way" (Pauri 1), "I am a fish in You" (Pauri 2), "You know my anguish" (Pauri 3) — to the resolution: God is Father and Mother, the servant is preserved and protected.

Darshan — the Vision granted. The foolish child who admitted not knowing, who couldn't survive without the water, who knew only the divine's knowing of their anguish — this child is given the Vision of the Lord. Grace completes what humility opened.

A Question to Sit With

Can you come to the divine like a child — without sophistication, without argument, without performance? What does that feel like? What becomes possible?
