So speaks KALL: O Guru Raam Daas, You have obtained the wealth of the Lord's Love. ||7||

In plain words

Approved by the True Guru, you have won the world: with your whole mind you keep the One in mind.

Blessed, blessed is the True Guru, Guru Amar Das, who planted the Naam deep inside.

The Naam is the treasure of the nine treasures. Wealth and wonderful powers wait on it like servants.

You have found the pool of deep calm, and you have met the Creator who never dies.

Holding on to the Naam, devotees have been carried across from the very beginning, and the Guru planted that same Naam in you.

Kal says: Guru Ram Das, you have found the treasure of the One's love.

The things everyone chases become small next to the treasure of love.
The deeper layer

The Naam is the treasure, and every other wealth waits on it like a servant.

Nav nidh (the nine treasures) and ridh sidh (wealth and wonderful powers) were what many seekers of the time longed for. Here they become daasee, servants, of the one who holds the Naam. The prize Guru Ram Das finds is har paraym padaarath, the treasure of the One's love.

A Question to Sit With

If love is a kind of wealth, who are you rich with?
