Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
Singing and repeating the holy Word in the Sangat, people are carried across the ocean of the world.
Nanak says: they are never sent back to be born again.
Singing together lifts you across the widest water.
Singing the holy Word together carries a person across the ocean of the world.
Subh bachan ramna(n) gavna(n): repeating and singing the holy Word. SaaDh sangayn uDharneh: in the company of the holy, people are lifted out.
Sansaar saagra(n): the ocean of the world. Punrap janam na labh-yatai: once across, a person does not come back to be born again.
