I cling to my Lord, like the bumble bee caught in the lotus flower. ||4||

In plain words

O Musan, the light of love has spread across the whole sky.

I cling to my Beloved like a bumblebee caught and held inside a lotus flower.

Love holds you close the way a lotus holds a bee.
The deeper layer

Love's light fills the sky, and the lover clings to the Beloved like a bee inside a lotus.

Maskar paraym kee: the light of love. Rahee jo ambar chhaa-ay: it has spread over the sky. Bhavar rahay laptaa-ay: the bumblebee stays wrapped up inside the lotus. Elsewhere the same picture warns of a bee trapped by sweetness; here the clinging is the joy of belonging to the One.

A Question to Sit With

When do you feel so happy somewhere that you do not want to leave?
