- O Musan, I would dedicate and sacrifice all these for a moment of my Lord's Love. ||5||

In plain words

Chanting and hard prayer, self-control, joy and comfort, honor, greatness and pride —

O Musan, I would give them all, again and again, for one moment of my Beloved's love.

One moment of love outweighs everything you could achieve.
The deeper layer

One moment of love for the One is worth more than everything else.

This comes from the Chaubolay, verses spoken to a friend named Musan. The verse lists many prized things. There is jap, repeating the Naam. There is tap, hard effort in prayer, and sanjam, self-control. Then come joy, comfort, honor, greatness and even pride.

All of these would be given, vaar vaar, again and again, for a nimkhak, a blink of love.

Prayer and discipline are good. They are paths that lead to love. Think of soccer drills every day after school. The drills matter, but the game is why you practice. Love is the game.

A Question to Sit With

What is one moment of love that felt worth more than any prize?
