Savaiye in Praise of Guru Ram Das (Bhatt Balh), Verse 5 — remember the True Guru and see clearly

Remember the True Guru, and the darkness leaves your eyes in a moment.
Remember the True Guru, and the Naam of the One fills your heart, day after day.
Remember the True Guru, and the burning inside you cools.
Remember the True Guru, and you receive wealth, wondrous powers and the nine treasures.
Balh says: that Guru is Ram Das. Join the Sangat and call him blessed, blessed.
Through the True Guru the One is found. Remember that True Guru, O people.
Remembering the True Guru clears the eyes, fills the heart with the Naam and cools the burning inside.
Jih satgur simrant — those who remember the True Guru. The line repeats like a drumbeat. The darkness leaves their eyes in a moment. Day by day, the Naam grows in their hearts. The burning of wanting cools. They gain the nav niDh, the nine treasures, a picture for being full in every way.
Balh then calls everyone to join the sangat, the Sangat — people gathered together to remember the One — and cheer for Guru Ram Das: Dhan Dhan, blessed, blessed. The last line calls on all people to remember the True Guru, through whom the One is found. This closes Balh's five verses.
