The Naam is his spear and his flag. The True Guru's Word makes him shine.
Guru Arjun stands firm, like the archer Arjuna who never left the field, and his spear and flag are the Naam.
In the Mahabharata, an old Indian story, the archer Arjuna stood firm and did not leave the battlefield. Paartha-o chaalai nahee plays on Guru Arjun's name: like Arjuna, he does not move from his place. He is proven true, and he does not walk away when things get hard.
