Nectar flows from your tongue, and blessings come from your mouth, O hero beyond knowing and without end. O Guru, your Word takes away ego.
You have beaten the five thieves that pull a person around, and with easy calm you have set the One in the silent home inside you.
Holding on to the Naam of the One, the world is saved. Keep the True Guru in your heart.

Gur soor means the Guru as a hero, and the battle here is inside: with ego, and with the panchaahar, the five thieves of craving, anger, greed, attachment and pride. Sunn sahj nij ghar is the silent, easy home inside a person, where the One is found. Kalas deepaa-i-a-o means lighting the pinnacle, like a lamp set on the very top of a temple.
