ਹੈਨਿ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਘਣੇ ਫੈਲ ਫਕੜੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥੧੨॥
hain virlay naahee ghanay fail fakarh sansaar. ||12||
The Saints are few and far between; everything else in the world is just a pompous show. ||12||

The saints are few and far between; the rest of the world is just a big, showy display.
The saints are rare, and much of the world is show.
People who live close to the One are rare; much of the world is show.
Hain virlay naahee ghanay: they are rare, not many. Fail fakarh sansaar: the rest of the world is pomp and empty display. Spotting the difference is part of the lesson.
