ਨਾਨਕ ਜਹ ਜਹ ਮੈ ਫਿਰਉ ਤਹ ਤਹ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥
naanak jah jah mai fira-o tah tah saachaa so-ay.
O Nanak, wherever I go, I find the True Lord.
ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੮॥
jah daykhaa tah ayk hai gurmukh pargat ho-ay. ||8||
Wherever I look, I see the One Lord. He reveals Himself to the Gurmukh. ||8||

In plain words

Nanak says: wherever I wander, there I find the True One.

Wherever I look, there is the One, revealed to the one who turns to the Guru.

The True One is everywhere you go, plain to see for the one who turns to the Guru.
The deeper layer

Wherever you go and wherever you look, the True One is there.

Jah jah mai fira-o tah tah saachaa so-ay: wherever I wander, there is the True One. Jah daykhaa tah ayk hai: wherever I look, there is the One. To the gurmukh, the one who turns to the Guru, this becomes pargat, plain to see.

A Question to Sit With

Where is a place or moment in your ordinary day where, if you looked closely, you might sense the One?
