Walking on the Way, sing the Praises of the Lord. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Standing, sitting, even sleeping — meditate on the One.

Walking along the road, sing the praises of the One.

There's no moment too ordinary to remember the One — standing, sitting, even walking down the road.
The deeper layer

Remembrance is freed from special times and places: "while standing up, and sitting down, and even while asleep," and "walking on the Way." The Name goes everywhere the body goes — there is no posture or moment from which the One is excluded (cf. Shabad 82, Shabad 121).

A Question to Sit With

What ordinary moment of your day could you fill with something good?
