Listening to it, your mind shall be filled with bliss, and the troubles and diseases of your mind shall all depart. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

With your ears, listen to the sweet, life-giving teaching.

Listening, your mind fills with bliss, and its troubles and sicknesses all depart.

Truly listening to what is good fills the mind with bliss and clears its troubles.
The deeper layer

The Pause turns to listening (Suniai): "with your ears, listen to the Ambrosial Sermon." Deep listening fills the mind with bliss and clears "the troubles and diseases of your mind." Reception, not just recitation, is healing (cf. Japji's Suniai pauris).

A Question to Sit With

When did really listening to something true change how you felt?
