Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The soul who sings the One's praises, day and night,
does not have to go with the messenger of death.
Fill your days and nights with praise, and death has nothing left to seize.
Continuous praise "day and night" disarms death: such a soul "does not have to go with the Messenger of Death." The one who has filled life with remembrance has nothing for death to seize (this can be compared cautiously with jeevat marnaa, Shabad 107).
A Question to Sit With
What would it mean to live so fully that the end held no terror?
