Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Those who love the One are always beautiful at the One's door.

Loving the Guru, they are filled with love for the True One.

A heart full of love is a beautiful thing to see.
The deeper layer

People who love the One always look beautiful at the One's door.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. bhagat soheh sadaa — the devotees are always beautiful. That beauty is not about looks or clothes. It is a heart lit up by love.

Think of a grandparent's face when a grandchild runs in the door. It glows. Nobody needs makeup for that. The verse says their love for the Guru becomes saachai paraym, love for the True One — what is most real and lasting.

A Question to Sit With

What makes a person beautiful in a way that has nothing to do with how they look?
