Wonder-Struck by It All

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥

The True Guru drives out sin and doubt from within.

Gazing upon the wonder of God's Creation, I am wonder-struck and amazed.

The Gurmukh obtains the Naam, the Name of the Lord, by His Grace. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Night and day, day and night, they sing the praises of the One.

The True Guru clears wrongdoing and doubt out from inside.

Looking at the wonder of the One's creation, I am amazed and full of wonder.

The one who faces the Guru receives the Naam, by grace.

Looking closely at the world can leave you speechless with wonder.
The deeper layer

Singing the One's praises clears doubt from inside, and the whole world leaves you full of wonder.

Vismaad is wonder, the awe that silences the mind; it is central to Gurbani, echoing Japji's vismaad passages. Parpanch (the created expanse) is beheld not as an illusion to flee but as a marvel. Joothh bharaant (impurity and doubt) is cleared by the Guru.

A Question to Sit With

When did the world last make you stop and stare in wonder?
