In plain words

Through the Guru's Word, remember the One with love,

and you will stay full and satisfied with the sweet taste of the One's Naam.

The wrongs of millions and millions of lifetimes will burn away.

While you are still alive, let the grabbing "me" die away, and you will melt into the One's Naam.

Loving the One is the thing that finally fills you up.
The deeper layer

Remember the One with love, and your heart feels full at last.

Raam naam ras rahai aghaa-ay — the sweet taste of the Naam leaves you satisfied. Ras means the sweet essence, like the juice of a ripe fruit. Think of how you feel after a warm meal on a cold day. You are not hungry for anything else.

Kot kotantar kay paap jal jaahi — the wrongs of millions of lifetimes burn away. It is like a heavy bag you have carried for ages, finally set down. The feeling is relief.

Jeevat mareh — dying while still alive. This does not mean the body dying. It means the grabbing, "me first" self goes quiet, while you stay fully and happily alive. Then you settle into the Naam.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you have been carrying that you would love to set down?
