This mind is released, when the Guru emancipates it.
ਨਾਨਕ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਇ ॥੪॥੪॥੧੬॥
naanak maa-i-aa moh sabad jalaa-ay. ||4||4||16||
O Nanak, attachment to Maya is burnt away through the Word of the Shabad. ||4||4||16||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
This mind is set free when the Guru frees it.
Nanak says: through the Word, clinging to Maya burns away.
The Word unties the knots the world ties in us.
The Guru frees the mind, and the Word burns away its clinging.
Gur lee-aa chhadaa-ay: the Guru set it free. Maa-i-aa moh sabad jalaa-ay: clinging to Maya burned away by the Word. The shabad closes by answering the ache of its pause line: the mind that felt no spring is freed to bloom.
