Colored Through with Love

ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ॥
jisahi paraapat saaDhsang.
Whoever enters the Saadh Sangat
ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਲਾਗਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਰੰਗੁ ॥
tis jan laagaa paarbarahm rang.
- that humble being is imbued with the Love of the Supreme Lord God.
ਤੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਭਏ ਮੁਕਤਿ ॥
tay banDhan tay bha-ay mukat.
He is liberated from bondage.
ਭਗਤ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ॥੨॥
bhagat araaDheh jog jugat. ||2||
His devotees worship Him in adoration; they are united in His Union. ||2||

In plain words

Whoever finds the Sangat is dyed with the color of love for the Highest One.

That person is set free from every rope that held them.

The loving devotees worship the One, and that is their way of being joined with the One.

Spend time in love and it colors you all the way through.
The deeper layer

The Sangat soaks you in the color of the One's love, and the ropes that held you fall away.

jisahi paraapat saaDhsang — whoever finds the Sangat. tis jan laagaa paarbarahm rang — that person is dyed with the rang, the color, of paarbarahm, the Highest One.

Think of a white T-shirt dipped in bright dye. The color soaks into every thread. Love for the One works like that in the Sangat. tay banDhan tay bha-ay mukat — they are set free from what tied them down. And the loving ones who worship the One find their way to be joined with the One.

A Question to Sit With

What is something good that 'rubs off' on you when you spend time with certain people?
