His state and extent cannot be described.
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੪॥੯॥

Servant Nanak meditates on the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||9||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever the First Being blesses with this gift

receives the One's treasure.

How vast the One is, and how wide, no one can say.

Nanak says: I, the One's servant, meditate on the One, Har, Har.

Some gifts are too big to describe — you just live in them.
The deeper layer

The One's gift is a treasure too great for words, and you hold it by keeping the One in mind.

aad purakh jis keeaa daan — the One's blessing brings har nidhaan, the treasure. gatt mitt kahee na jaa-ay — beyond description; holding the Naam is enough.

A Question to Sit With

What is a gift so good you could never fully put it into words?
