ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਆ ॥

The Perfect Guru makes everything perfect.
ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
amrit naam rid meh dee-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
He implants the Amrosial Naam, the Name of the Lord, in the heart. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The Perfect Guru has made everything complete.

He has placed the sweet, life-giving Naam in my heart.

The Guru plants something in you that keeps growing on its own.
The deeper layer

The Guru makes our lives whole by planting the Naam in our hearts.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad. gur poorai sabh pooraa kee-aa — the Perfect Guru has made everything complete.

How? amrit naam rid meh dee-aa — the Guru placed the amrit naam in the heart. Amrit means a sweet drink that gives life that never ends. Picture a gardener pressing a seed into soft spring soil. The seed is small, but it grows into something big and green. The Naam grows in the heart like that.

A Question to Sit With

What good seed has someone planted in you that is still growing?
