It contemplates the Word of the Guru's Shabad, with intuitive ease. ||1||Pause||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

The mind that has lost its way learns through the True Name.

It thinks over the Guru's Word, with an easy, natural calm.

Clarity comes with an easy, natural calm, not by force.
The deeper layer

A wandering mind finds its way through the True Name, and understanding comes with easy calm.

This is the rahaa-o, the "pause" line, the centre of the shabad. Man bhoolao samjhas saach naae: the wandering mind is taught by the True Name. Sahj bhaae means with intuitive ease, the effortless poise of a mind that has stopped fighting.

A Question to Sit With

When have you understood something not by pushing hard, but by getting quiet?
