The mind comes and goes according to the Will of the Lord.
ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥

The One Lord is contained amongst all; nothing else can be said.

The Hukam of His Command pervades everywhere, and all merge in His Command.

Pain and pleasure all come by His Will. ||7||
Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa
The mind comes and goes in the flow of the One's will.
The One is inside everyone; there is nothing more to say.
The flow of existence runs through everything, and everything melts back into it.
Sad times and happy times all come in the flow of the One's will.
One presence shines in everyone, and every day settles back into the flow.
One presence lives in everyone, and every coming and going, every sorrow and joy, moves in its flow.
Sabh hukmo vartai hukam samaae: the Hukam, the flow of existence, pervades everything and everything merges back into it. Sabh meh eko: one presence in all. Both dookh and sookh — sorrow and joy — arise within that single flow.
A Question to Sit With
Can you notice the same aliveness in yourself that is in the people around you?
