ਏਕੋ ਤਖਤੁ ਏਕੋ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੁ ॥
ayko takhat ayko paatisaahu.
There is one celestial throne, and One Supreme King.
ਸਰਬੀ ਥਾਈ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥
sarbee thaa-ee vayparvaahu.
The Independent Lord God is pervading all places.
ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਸਾਰੁ ॥
tis kaa kee-aa taribhavan saar.
The three worlds are the creation of that Sublime Lord.
ਓਹੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ॥੫॥
oh agam agochar aykankaar. ||5||
The One Creator of the Creation is Unfathomable and Incomprehensible. ||5||

The three worlds are the work of that Great One.
The One Creator is beyond reach and beyond understanding.
One source rules all worlds, needing nothing and present everywhere.
One King rules from one throne, needing nothing, filling every place and every world.
Eko takhat eko paatisaahu — one throne, one sovereign. Veparvaahu: the One is carefree, needing nothing. Agam agochar ekankaar: unreachable by effort and unthinkable by intellect, yet present everywhere as the one Onkar.
