But the mortal becomes unsatisfied, and begs for more; his fickle mind brings him disgrace.

In plain words

A person is never satisfied and keeps begging for more, and the restless, fickle mind brings them shame.

Greed is a dark prison, and the wrong things we do are chains on our feet.

Wanting more and more traps you; contentment sets you free.
The deeper layer

A heart that is never satisfied gets trapped by its own wanting.

Saaboor means contentment — feeling you have enough. Without it, the mind keeps asking for more. It gets tangled in its own restlessness. Greed is pictured as a dark cell with no windows. Our faults are pictured as heavy weights on our feet.

Think of scrolling for one more video, then one more, and never feeling done. Wanting more and more can quietly trap a person. The point is freedom, not fear. The way out is contentment — resting in what the One already gives.

A Question to Sit With

When have you noticed that having enough felt better than wanting more?
