The Naam is my family, and the Naam is my brother.
The Naam walks with me, and at the very end it will be the friend who helps me.
The best companion is the one still beside you when everyone else has turned back.
The Naam is the companion that stays with you to the very end.
Bandhip means relatives, bhaa-ee brother, sakhaa-ee the friend who stays. Family matters to Kabir; and the one bond that never falls away, never quarrels, never leaves, is the bond with the One. It is the companion that goes with you even where no person can follow.
