ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਨਿਰਧਨੁ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ॥

Kabir says: that person alone is poor
who does not have the Naam in their heart.
The deepest poverty is a heart with no room for love.
The one who is poor is the one with no Naam in the heart.
Kahi kabeer nirdhan hai so-ee, jaa kay hirdai naam na ho-ee: Kabir says, that one alone is poor who has no Naam in the heart. Money still matters for daily life, and the coldness shown to the poor is still wrong. Money is simply the wrong measure of a person. The wealth that counts lives in the heart.
