is attached to the Truth, and receives the fruit of Truth. ||1||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

Whoever the One keeps safe in the One's own shelter

holds on to the True One, and receives the fruit of Truth.

Shelter in the One helps you grow true.
The deeper layer

Kept in the One's shelter, you hold on to what is true, and what is true grows from you.

Jaa ka-o raakhai apnee sarnaa-ee: whoever the One keeps in the One's own sarnaa-ee, shelter. Saachay laagai saachaa fal paa-ee: that person holds on to the True One and receives saachaa fal, the fruit of Truth. Think of a young tree staked and sheltered from strong wind; it grows straight and bears good fruit.

A Question to Sit With

Where or with whom do you feel safe enough to grow into who you are?
