This is the Rahao, the "pause" line, the center of the shabad; the other verses grow out of it. Hai hajoor kat door bataavhu: the One is present; why do you call the One far? Hajoor is a warm word for right-here, in front of you. Dundar baadhhu sundar paavhu: tie up the dundar, the stirring, noisy passions, and find the sundar, the Beautiful One. The two words rhyme on purpose. The whole hymn turns on this: the sacred is here, once the inner noise is quieted.
