In plain words

By the Guru's grace, I am drawn by the One's love.

I will meet my Kind Beloved, and the five sounds of joy will play.

Love draws you toward the One like a magnet — gentle and sure.
The deeper layer

Love pulls you toward the One; you do not have to drag yourself there.

Gur parsaadee piram kasaa-ee means "by the Guru's grace, I am drawn by love." Parsaad is grace, a gift freely given. Piram is love, and kasaa-ee means pulled.

Think of a magnet and a paperclip. The paperclip does not work hard. It comes near, and it is drawn in.

Then the bride says, mila-ugee da-i-aal panch sabad vajaa-ee: "I will meet the Kind One, and the five sounds will play." Da-i-aal means kind. The Panch Shabad are the five first sounds. Think of them as music rising inside, as everything in you comes into harmony. This is love drawn by grace, not a hard climb.

A Question to Sit With

What's something you feel drawn toward without even having to try?
