In plain words

I am crazy with love: Raam, the One, is my Husband.

Again and again I get ready and dress up for Him.

Loving the One with your whole heart is the best kind of wild.
The deeper layer

Love for the One can make a person happily crazy.

Bhagat Namdev was a saint-poet whose songs are in the Guru Granth Sahib. Here he says mai ba-uree: I'm crazy. He means crazy with love. Mayraa raam bhataar: the One is my beloved husband.

Gurbani often pictures the soul as a bride who loves the One. It shows how whole and tender that love is.

Rach rach taa ka-o kara-o singaar: I get ready and dress up for that One, again and again. Singaar means dressing up to look your best.

Think of getting ready for a big birthday party. You pick your best clothes and comb your hair twice. That's how excited Namdev is about the One. And if people call him crazy, he doesn't mind.

A Question to Sit With

What is something you love so much you would happily be teased for it?
