Everything Starts in the Mind

ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਸਭ ਪਿੰਡ ਪਰਾਣਾ ॥
is man tay sabh pind paraanaa.
From this Mind come all bodies, and the breath of life.
ਮਨ ਕੈ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੁਝਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥੩॥
man kai veechaar hukam bujh samaanaa. ||3||
By mental contemplation, the mortal realizes the Hukam of the Lord's Command, and merges in Him. ||3||

Translation by Dr. Sant Singh Khalsa

In plain words

From this mind come all bodies and the breath of life.

By reflecting in the mind, you understand the flow of life and merge into the One.

So much of your world starts in your mind — and calm thinking helps you settle into the flow.
The deeper layer

Body and breath come from the mind, and a mind that reflects understands the flow of life and merges into it.

Is man tay sabh pind paraanaa: from this mind come all bodies and the breath of life. Man kai veechaar hukam bujh samaanaa: by reflecting, you understand Hukam, the flow of existence, and merge into the One. The mind is the doorway.
