ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
nadar karay satguroo milaa-ay.
Granting His Grace, the Lord unites the mortals with the True Guru.
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੪॥੬॥
naanak hirdai naam vasaa-ay. ||4||6||
O Nanak, the Naam is enshrined within the heart. ||4||6||

Looking with grace, the One brings us to meet the True Guru.
Nanak says: then the Naam comes to live in the heart.
Grace brings you to the teaching, and the Name makes a home in your heart.
Grace brings you to the True Guru, and the Naam comes to live in your heart.
Nadar karay satguroo milaa-ay: with nadar, a glance of grace, the One brings you to meet the True Guru. Naanak hirdai naam vasaa-ay: O Nanak, the Naam then lives in the heart. Grace, the Guru and the Naam in the heart come as one movement.
